الملخص
على الرغم من أن فرضية صمويل هنتنجتون حول صدام الحضارات، قد أُثيرت قبل عشر سنوات، فلازال الاهتمام بدراستها دفاعاً عنها، أو رفضاً لها، قائماً إلى اليوم. وقد بدا من المهم على ضوء ما أثارته تلك الفرضية، أن نتناول بالتحليل والمقارنة - وفي خط مقابل لفرضية هنتنجتون - قضية التواصل الحضاري في الفكر الإسلامي، من خلال تجربة أبي الريحان البيروني ت 440 ه في هذا الصدد، وقد شمل ذلك، معالجةَ: أهمية التواصل الحضاري وفائدته وصعوباته، وضرورة قيامه على منهج علمي ذي إطار مرجعي واضح وأسس وقواعد وآليات منهجية وأخلاقية، مع الاهتمام بتكوين رؤية نقدية موضوعية لحضارة الذات والآخر معاً، ثم المقارنة بين منهج البيروني ت440هـ في التواصل الحضاري وإشكالية صدام الحضارات.
Abstract
Although more than a decade has passed since Huntington's thesis of "Clash of Civilizations," the interest it inspired, for or against, continues to this day. It seemed to me important to deal with the same issue in a line parallel to that of Huntington's that is Civilizational Inter-action and Continuity in Islamic Thought in the Experience of Al-Biruni. This paper focuses on the importance of Civilizational Continuity, its prospects, difficulties, and the necessity of building it in a scientific methodology that has clear authoritative framework and distinct moral and methodological principles with an interest to presents a critical view to the Civilization of the Self and the Other, and Finally a comparison of Al-Biruni's Contribution and the problem of Clash of Civilizations.
