الملخص
وضحت الدراسة طبيعة العلاقات الاقتصادية والاجتماعية بين مصر والحجاز وأثر التحولات السياسية في كلا البلدين عليها؛ خاصة الثورة العربية التي أعلنها الشريف حسين في 10 حزيران 1916 وقيام المملكة العربية الهاشمية في الحجاز (1916- 1925). هذا إلى جانب دور بريطانيا في التأثير على مجمل العلاقات المصرية الحجازية خاصة بعد اعلان حمايتها على مصر سنة 1914. واعتمدت الدراسة على وثائق متنوعة غير منشورة، جاء في مقدمتها محفوظات دار الكتب والوثائق القومية بالقاهرة، إضافة إلى عدد من الصحف العربية والوثائق البريطانية.
Abstract
The study clarifies the nature of economic and social relations, between Egypt and Al-Hijaz, and how they were affected by political changes in both countries, especially the Arab Revolt declared by sherif Hussien on June 10, 1916, followed by the establishment of the Arab Hashemite Kingdom in Hijaz (1916-1925). The study also discusses the role of Great Britiain affecting their relations between Egypt and Hijaz, especially after 1914 where Egypt became protectorate of great Britain. The study relied on several unpublished documents, mainly the archive of National Library and Archives of Egypt in Cairo, besides several British documents, and Arabic Newspapers.
