Abstract This investigation sheds light on Sultanate foundation, as a political regime aspect was emerged during the Seljuks Era, side by side to the Abbasid caliphate within the Islamic State institutions. The scholar has observed that most related literature handled Islamic political thoughts, focused on Caliphate institution as demonstrated in the views of Islamic philosophers and jurists, while very few a tension has been paid to the study of Sultanate institution, as well as the lack of studies that tackled a particular form of Islamic political literature, which is named counsel for kings and rulers, or Mirrors for Princes, despite of such works importance as they present a practical guide to rulers. So that, this study is devoted to trace the foundation of sultanate in the Islamic political thoughts, through verifying Siyasat Nama, which is considered as one of the main sources of Islamic political history and as a distinctive genre of classical Arabic and Persian literature, of the well known suljuks minister Nizam al-Mulk Tusi (d.485/1092). In addition to Siyasat Nama Importance as a Historical document, which may shed light, mainly, on political characters of Seljuks Era, it carries Nizam al-Mulks political viewpoints, and his enriched and practical experience in politics, as he was a prominent minister of Seljuks Sultanate throughout thirty five years.en_US
