It answers the questions: what were the US's priorities in Jordan during Obama's administration? And how was Jordan described in Obama's communications? This work is a creative one, as it uses qualitative and quantitative research to investigate Obama's activities toward Jordan. In order to examine the U.S.' foreign policy priorities in Jordan by using Obama’s communications. The study uses the searchable “Public Papers” archive of “The American Presidency Project” (http://www.presidency.ucsb.edu/ws/), maintained by John Woolley and Gerhard Peters. Also, in order to classify the U.S. interests in Jordan, we use Byman and Molle (2016) classification of the U.S.' foreign policy interests in the Middle East: counterterrorism, security of Israel, democratization, nuclear proliferation, and oil. This article finds out that Obama's foreign strategy and approach had been driven by the maxim of ‘multilateral retrenchment’, which is designed to achieve the United States' foreign commitments, reshape its standing among the world powers, and transfer burdens onto foreign partners. The United States of America under Obama's administration substantially depended on Jordan to solve many regional complex issues and crises, particularly counterterrorism and Arab-Israeli peace negotiations. Mon, 17 Feb 2020 00:00:00 GMT http://hdl.handle.net/123456789/2258 2020-02-17T00:00:00Z http://hdl.handle.net/123456789/2257 Title: أثر استخدام تمرينات الحبل المطاطي على تحسين مستوى الأداء في سباحة الصدر التموجية لدى الإناث من سن 18-22 عام Authors: وصال جريس الربضي Abstract: ملخص هدفت هذه الدراسة التعرف إلى أثر استخدام تمرينات الحبل المطاطي على تحسين المستوى الرقمي في سباحة الصدر التموجية لدى طالبات كلية التربية الرياضية بجامعة اليرموك. تم استخدام المنهج التجريبي ذي التصميم القبلي والبعدي لمجموعة واحدة، شملت عينة الدراسة على (15) طالبة من الطالبات المسجلات في مساق السباحة تخصص للفصل الدراسي الثاني (2019/2020) في جامعة اليرموك، تم تطبيق البرنامج التدريبي باستخدام تمرينات الحبل المطاطي ولمدة (8) أسابيع مشتملة على ثلاثة لقاءات في الأسبوع، بفترة زمنية (50) دقيقة لكل لقاء. أشارت نتائج الدراسة أن تطبيق البرنامج التدريبي باستخدام الحبل المطاطي له أثر إيجابي في تحسين قوة حركات الذراعين والرجلين والإنجاز الرقمي في سباحة الصدر التموجية، وكذلك اكتساب قدرات خاصة لدى الطالبات في السرعة داخل الماء. وأوصت الباحثة بضرورة استخدام البرنامج التدريبي باستخدام الحبل المطاطي لما له من أثر إيجابي في تحسين المستوى الرقمي في سباحة الصدر التموجية. الكلمات الدالة: تمرينات الحبل المطاطي، القدرة العضلية، سباحة الصدر التموجية. Abstract This study aimed at identifying the effect of implementing the resistance band exercises on improving the digital level of the undulation technique in breaststroke for female students in the Faculty of Physical Education at Yarmouk University. The experimental method with the pre- and post- design was applied on one group. The sample of the study consisted of (15) female students who enrolled in the swimming course in the second semester 2019/2020 at Yarmouk University. The resistance band training program was implemented for 8 weeks, including three meetings per week, with a period of (50) minutes for each meeting. The results of the study revealed that applying the resistance band training program has a positive effect on improving the muscular power of hands and legs, and the digital achievement in undulation technique of breaststroke, as well as acquiring special abilities for the female students in speed inside water. The researcher recommended using the resistance band training program for its positive effect on improving the digital level in the undulation technique of breaststroke.
