Abstract This study aims at investigating the awareness level of professional identity of teachers at UNRWA schools (United Nations and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East) in Jordan. The study sample consists of (359) male and female teachers randomly selected from all educational districts of Jordan. A questionnaire is distributed to teachers who are asked to answer questions on the Teachers’ Professional Identity Scale. The average mean scores, the standard deviations and the multivariate analysis of variance are used to compute the- respondents’ answers to the questions. Results show that the teachers’ awareness level of their professional identity is high on the scale and the total of all its domains: learning and teaching, students’ growth, school development, interpersonal relationships, professional development services and professional growth. Results also show that there are statistically significant differences in the professional identity that can be attributed to the gender variable and in favor of the females, and there are statistically significant differences attributed to the education qualification variable in favor of teachers having the Bachelor’s degree. However, the results reveal that there are no statistically significant differences that can be attributed to the teaching experience variable.en_US
