الملخص
يهدف هذا البحث إلى دراسة الثورة التي قادها الشيخ صالح بن علي الحارثي ضد السلطان فيصل بن تركي (1888-1913) في عُمان.
تناول البحث الظروف التي مهدت لقيام الثورة ومجرياتها بدءً من احتلال مدينة مسقط وحتى خروج الثوار منها. وقدمت تحليلاً لأهم الأسباب التي دفعت بالثوار للهجوم على السلطان واحتلال عاصمته، والأسباب التي أدت إلى اتخاذ الحكومة موقفًا حياديًا، وعدم تقديمها الدعم والمساندة للسلطان وأخيراً ناقشت النتائج التي تمخضت عنها، وعلى كل الأطراف ذات العلاقة.

Abstract
This paper aims at exploring the circumstances that brought about the rebellion led by Sheikh Saleh bin Ali Al Harithi against Sultan Faisal bin Turki in 1895.
The Study provides in depth investigation into the factors that urged the rebels to attack the Sultan in Muscat. It also sheds light on the British Government's motives of staying neutral, offering no support whatsoever to the Sultan. Finally, the study discusses the consequences of this conflict on all parties concerned.
