ملخص
تزايدت الجهود في الآونة الأخيرة بفئة المسنين، من أجل بحث قضايأهم ومعالجة مشاكلهم. وعليه جاءت هذه الدراسة بقصد بيان اهتمام الإسلام والتشريعات الدولية بالمسنين ورعايتهم، وما وضعته من أحكام وتشريعات توفر لهم أسباب العزة والكرامة، وتصون حريتهم، وتحقق لهم الخير والعدل والسعادة.
وقد تنأولت الدراسة بالبحث والبيان مفهوم المسن ومكانته، ورعايته في الإسلام والتشريعات الدولية، وأهم الجهود والفعاليات الدولية التي بذلت في دراسة قضاياه، وما نجم عنها من تشريعات ونصوص داعية إلى احترامه ورعايته ومنحه حقوقه. فكشفت الدراسة عن جوانب اهتمامهما به وما تضمنته نصوصهما من حق المسن في الرعاية موصية بمزيد اهتمام وعناية به ورعاية واحترام له داعية إلى صون حقوقه ومنحه إياها.
